Media 10 has announced that visitor attendance to the inaugural Ideal Home Show Manchester was significantly more than predicted, at around 37,000 visitors (ABC audit pending).

The exhibition, held at EventCity on 6-8 June was across 28,000sqm and was split into seven dedicated show areas, from Interiors to Home Improvements, Food & Housewares to Technology, Gardens, Woman and Shopping.

Media 10 MD Lee Newton commented: "We always knew Ideal Home Show at EventCity, Manchester would be a success but the actual figures from the debut show have really blown us away. Both pre and on-the-door sales have performed above and beyond what we originally predicted which is testament to the region and demand for quality events such as the Ideal Home Show.

“Initial feedback from both visitors and exhibitors has been hugely positive which we're extremely proud of given that this is the first time that we've attempted exporting Ideal Home Show to the North of England. Given the volume of publicity generated ahead of its launch, it was vital that we delivered a memorable show - especially as it was the first time that EventCity had hosted an event of this magnitude.”

EventCity MD Andy Orr added: “Everyone at EventCity is immensely proud to have been part of the Ideal Home Show's success.

“The quality and range of exhibitors, the amazing theatres and Gregg Wallace’s restaurant – have all added up to give the huge attendance and an incredible experience. I have never seen a larger or happier group of customers before – we cannot wait to welcome the team back for the Ideal home Show at Christmas.”

The Ideal Home Show will return to Manchester on 14–16 November for its Christmas event.
