Canon is using a 3D animated tour to show visitors what they can expect to see at a specially organised event in Monaco to celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary in Europe.

BroadView, which created the tour, brought together writers, designers, musicians, sound engineers, language translators and animation experts, who worked over a four-week period to produce the video, produced in a format that it claims “cuts through language barriers”.

The animation sees a 3D character embark on a journey around the exhibition centre, sampling imaging and audio products and solutions across business, consumer and industrial markets, and taking a look at Canon’s conservation work.

Canon Europe has become one of the cornerstones of the company’s worldwide operations, representing 30% of global turnover, it employs 11,000 people and sells to 100 different countries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
