Event Marketing Solutions (EMS) has recruited two new account executives and promoted a senior account executive following a series of major contract wins for the company.

Shelley Rees, 29, who joined EMS in 2005, has been promoted to account manager. As one of three account managers at EMS, she will now take on a more strategic role – leading projects for clients including Cheltenham & Gloucester and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Two new account executives – Luisa Harter and Katie Dempster, both 23 – have also joined the company, taking the total number of employees to 37.

Luisa was previously with experiential agency Mango, while Katie joins the firm following the completion of law studies at the University of Liverpool.

The appointments have resulted from a booming year of business for EMS, with new projects including a UK tour promoting Johnson & Johnson’s mother and baby products and an extensive roadshow for trade kitchen supplier Howdens. The firm has also won two major global contracts for leading brands in the logistics and engineering sectors.

EMS managing director Keith Austin said: “We are delighted to announce these new appointments, which follow one of our best years of business yet.

“Shelley’s promotion is an important boost to our management team and an exciting opportunity for her to contribute to the future success of the company. We are also delighted to welcome Luisa and Katie on board.”
