A number of events in London have had to be cancelled or postponed because of tube strikes.

Event organisers of Soho House's wedding breakfast, which was due to take place tomorrow (November 3rd), have had to postpone it until November 17th because of the strikes, Event Magazine reported.

Soho House, which was founded in 1995 as a private member's club for people in the film, media and creative industries, now includes hotels, restaurants and spas in the UK, Europe and the US.

Kew Gardens has also postponed a party celebrating its new partnership with Peyton Events. It was due to take place tomorrow at The Orangery, but guests have been informed that it has been called off in light of the transport disruptions.

The strikes are due to take place from 19:00 GMT today, with services returning to normal on Thursday.

About 11,000 members of the Transport Salaried Staffs' Association and Rail Maritime and Transport union are expected to walk out over plans to cut 800 jobs.
