Event organisers have announced that the recent London MCM Expo was the most successful to date, attracting more than 41,000 visitors over two days.

The event, which featured exhibitors such as movie studios, comic book artists and video games developers, boasted a number of special guests including the cast and crew of the BBC's Merlin and the team behind upcoming feature-length animation Ultramarines.

Visitors were entertained by live sets from Pineapple Dance Studios' Starman and music from J-pop artist Bentley Jones, while the inaugural UK Euro Cosplay Qualifiers were a visual treat, showcasing some amazing outfits.

A new Guinness World Record was set at the event, with attendees beating a three-year-old record for the Largest Handheld DS Party.

The event also broke its own record for the longest queue of people ever to be let into the show.

The next London MCM Expo will take place between October 30th and 31st.
