Major golf competition chooses Owen Brown
The Portuguese Masters golf tournament has chosen GL Services Owen Brown as a key supplier.
The leading international events supplier won a three-way pitch to provide overlay and temporary structures for the competition, which will be played at the Victoria Clube de Golfe in Vilamoura, on 18 to 21 October 2007. Under the agreement, Owen Brown will provide all public and catering areas, the exhibition and merchandising tent and the media centre, along with maintenance and experienced staff for the event.
“We are very excited to be able to add The Portuguese Masters to what is becoming an ever increasing, strong and solid sports portfolio for the company,” said GL events Owen Brown managing director Alex Robertson. “With the recent bad weather we have been experiencing in the UK, there is definitely no shortage of staff volunteering to get out to Portugal and get things started!”
Having recently provided temporary structures and overlay for the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup in the Caribbean, GL events Owen Brown has also been awarded equipment contracts for the Beijing 2008 Olympics, multi-sports event Pan American Games 2007 and the 2007 Rugby World Cup.
