Ocean Media, organisers of the National Wedding Show, have extended their agreement to hold the biannual Midlands edition of the show at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC) to 2016.

The National Wedding Show has gone from strength to strength with the most recent edition of the NEC show welcoming over 19,000 visitors across three days; a 20% increase on the previous year.

Ocean Media's Finance Director, David Watt, commented: “The continued support of the local and regional communities means that we’ve been happy to invest more and more in the show’s future. Our NEC event is already the biggest and best wedding show in the industry, and we believe our investment has paid off in terms of better content and attracting the bigger brands. As in marriage, loyalty and hard work are paying off – we’ve formed a great partnership with the NEC which has helped us grow and grow, and that’s why we’re delighted to have committed our future to the venue. We see that relationship lasting far beyond those three years too.”

Janine Smith, Exhibition Sales Director for the NEC, said: “95% of our annual exhibitions choose to stay with the NEC which highlights the fact that we are the ‘venue of choice’ and we are thrilled that Ocean Media have chosen to return to the NEC to continue our great partnership.

“The NEC’s location in the heart of the country, coupled with its great transport links by road and rail makes it the ideal venue for brides-to-be wishing to start planning and shopping for their big day, and we look forward to welcoming even more brides to the venue in the future.”
