The Exhibitions Team's Must Visit Events

The Exhibitions team has been busy coming up with their ideas for the best events in the exhibitions calendar to visit (both trade and consumer) and I have put a few of them together to inspire you!

The Exhibitions team has been busy coming up with their ideas for the best events in the exhibitions calendar to visit (both trade and consumer) and I have put a few of them together to inspire you!

My two must visit consumer events are:

The Grand Designs Live - This event is great for anyone interested in making your house a home whether you are building it from scratch, thinking about a design overhaul or just looking for a few innovative little ideas to spruce up your living space! I came away from this year’s event bursting with ideas – so now; I just need to build the budget to follow them through!

Taste of London - Who wouldn’t get excited about this event - amazing food, the UK's top chefs, wine tasting and a gourmet garden all set in beautiful Regent's Park. If you are not able to visit London for the event there is also a Taste of Edinburgh and a Taste of Dublin - all held through the summer months (details available on Exhibitions.co.uk - just search under Taste).

Later this year I will be attending the trade show, I+PM Live (Incentive and Promotional Marketing Live) to gain the latest information about the best marketing incentives on offer. The exhibitions industry and the promotional marketing industry go hand in hand and I+PM Live gives you access to the market leaders and the newest products. If you are considering investing in promotional merchandise as part of your marketing campaigns in the future, this is the ideal event for you!

John Hooke-Tappin, Exhibitions’ Business Development Manager, has some definite must attends marked in his event calendar:

The Event & Exhibiting Show, which is THE show for event and exhibition organisers, providing the very latest in knowledge, products and innovation for the industry. This year’s event is being held on the 13th and 14th July and according to John, ‘there is no other show like it’.

He has also just visited Marketing Week Live and had this to say: ‘In any business, marketing is of the utmost importance and the event really helps you to keep abreast of new developments and products within the industry.’

Marketing Manager, Mohammed Ali has come up with some great consumer shows to visit:

The London International Boat Show, to be held 6th – 15th January at Excel London, gives you the chance to discover everything to do with activity on, in and under the water.

For all of you who revel in Christmas cheer, Ideal Home Show has created Ideal Home Show at Christmas, new for 2011! The event will be held on 16th – 20th November and if you book in advance you can save money. From furniture to gifts, to festive food and inspiration for decorating, the show promises to provide everything you need to make your home ideal for Christmas.

Mohammed loves his gadgets and thoroughly enjoyed this year’s Gadget Show Live and would definitely recommend you put next year’s dates in your diary now. The 2012 show is on from the 11th to the 15th April and is perfect for all you gadget-lovers.

I hope we have managed to inspire you to attend some of our favourite shows in the future. And don’t forget, you will find all the information you need about these shows and many more on Exhibitions.co.uk. Just click on the Find an Event tab and type in an event title, key word or select a category you are interested in.
