About Sustainability through Resource Conservation and Recycling This, the 3rd International Symposium on Sustainability through Resource Conservation and Recycling '11 (SRCR '13), is organised by MEI in consultation with Prof Markus Reuter. Discover. Assess. Solve. Facilities management is, ultimately, about providing safe, effective working environments. Always has been. The difference today is the resources we’re given to do it. As organisations seek to cut costs, trim budgets, increase efficiency and free up capital. The challenges and tough choices facing FM professionals keep on growing. register now Conference Programme Refit. Maintain. Improve. Rather than buy new, we’re encouraged to ‘refit, maintain and improve’. We’re taking on additional roles, as traditional demarcations become fuzzy and more services are outsourced. And it’s all against a background of shrinking budgets, and new and complex legislation on building standards, energy use and carbon emissions. The old ways simply aren’t enough any more. To succeed in today’s world, we need new approaches to FM that make budgets go further and minimise costs and waste. That means knowing about and understanding the products, services and materials that work better and last longer. Learning from others, sharing experiences, and teaming up with people who can help us meet our increasingly challenging targets. Health & Safety Ireland – ‘Well-being and Safety’ Health and safety Ireland is part of FMI and benefits from the active support of leading organizations including the HSA, IOSH, and NISO. Addressing the issues linked to occupational health, safety, well-being within organisations of all types and sizes. This is your opportunity to, view the latest solutions and meet those who can help you. more
